The Work We Take On
Most of the houses we get called to around here went up between 1965 and 2005
With a heavy concentration from the 1980s and 90s. That matters because doors and openers from that era use parts that have changed size, gauge, or mounting pattern more than once since installation. We work on torsion and extension spring systems, section and panel replacement, track alignment, roller and cable swaps, and opener repair or replacement - chain drive, belt drive, and the older screw-drive units that are still bolted to the ceiling in a lot of garages across these fourteen neighborhoods.
We also handle new door installs for owners who've decided a repair isn't worth it anymore
And we service doors in Owasso proper as well as the surrounding area out toward Limestone, Collinsville, Skiatook, Catoosa, Sperry, and the other towns within a short drive. Our area sits in a cold-moderate climate band, which means weatherstripping, bottom seals, and insulated panels see real wear from temperature swings across the year, not just from age. If your door is sticking, slamming, or making a new noise, that's usually what we're looking at first.
What We Do Not Take On
We don't do general handyman work, fencing, or gate automation - just garage doors and the openers attached to them. We also don't pretend every door is worth saving. If a door built in the mid-1980s has a cracked panel, a rusted track, and an opener that's already failed once, replacement usually costs less over time than chasing three separate repairs, and we'll say so instead of running up a bill.
Parts for some of the older opener models from that 1965-2005 window are slow to source, and we won't promise a same-day fix on something we have to order. We'd rather tell you the wait up front than guess and miss it. We also don't do work sight unseen - we need to look at the door before we quote a repair, because torsion spring sizing and track spacing vary enough between houses in this area that a phone estimate is often wrong.
After You Call
When you call (918) 317-6008, we ask what the door is doing - not closing, stuck halfway, loud on the way up - and whether it's a torsion system over the door or extension springs along the tracks, since that changes what we bring. We're based at 13315 E 112th St N, Owasso, OK 74055, and we run calls out from there across the service area, including the towns we cover out to about 20 miles - Sand Springs and Inola being the farthest we go.
On site, we check the spring, cables, rollers, and track alignment before touching the opener, since a misdiagnosed spring is the most common reason a repair doesn't hold. We'll tell you what's worn, what's failed, and what's still fine, and give you a price before we start. With roughly 17,000 owner-occupied houses in this service area and a lot of them built in that same 20-year stretch, we see the same handful of failure points over and over, which is part of why we can usually tell what's wrong before we lift the door.
